Distressing & Masking

Hello!

Today my card is for a tutorial challenge at Inspired by Stamping.
You can find it here:

Firstly I have stamped the hexagons 2 times  from the stamp set: Hexagons by Inspired by Stamping, cut them out
and placed them on white card stock as a mask.

I have used a background stamp which was given to me by a friend from a magazine so
I have no idea who to give credit to.
I have inked and stamped it unevenly and then used distress ink to sponge over the script.
Removed the mask and stamped the hexagons with a pattern.
Added flourishes from Spellbinders, hand, made roses & ribbon.

Also entered into: http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/august-14th-monochromatic/

Picnic Basket

Hello!

I have made this card for 2 challenges:

and

I have used one of the original stamp sets I bought from GKDesigns
Holiday Baskets & a slightly later set:  Basket Additions.

Instead of using my Inktense Pencils to color I thought I would give some Bic Markers a go.
I do prefer my Inktense Pencils though.

I have also used Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B to create the border.
