Simple Birthday Card with gold embossed edges

Hello!

My card today is for a challenge at:

it is a very simple card.

I have used stamps from Inspired by Stamping:

French Country Backgrounds (Chicken Wire)

and

Happy Sentiments.

 

the tutorial is to emboss the edges.  I have not only embossed the edges in gold but the sentiment too.

The chicken wire has also been embossed with Zing Brown Sugar.

This card was made for a tutorial challenge at:

It is a new technique for me and I just had to try it!!  I redid it many times

using different color embossing powders but never happy with

any of them.  Even this card is not 100%!  I am not sure why the embossing

is not that clear especially on the words.

As I wasn't getting the colors right I decided to go for Gold, Silver and White

on black cardstock - not your traditional Christmas colors though!

 

The Christmas greeting is from: Inspired by Stamping

and the Trees from: GinaK designs.

 

I am always happy to have comments!

Jumping for Joy

Today I have created a card for a challenge at:

I have used Jac paper which is a double sided sticky paper.

Spellbinders die: Parisian Motifs which has been cut 6 times in white,

joined and added to the Jac paper.

I have then sprinkle it with silver glitter, added silver ribbon and

made some silver roses.

 

The image is Misteri Jumping for Joy http://www.digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop/ 

which has been colored with Derwent Inktense Watercolor pencils. 

I have also added white glitter to the image and silver glitter

around the edge of the image.

I have chosen to use a digi stamp from:

called Music sheet with flowers.

 

I have colored my digi with Derwent Inktense Water color pencils and then

fussy cut it.  I printed the digi again and colored the flowers and fussy cut them

which I added with foam dots.

Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles

 

Hello!

 

I recently watched a video on making this card from Wendy's World.  I was so impressed and as I had the die I just had to make one!

Mine is slightly different as I have used a stamp from GKDesigns stamp set called:

Hello Sunshine.

I used my Tom Bow markers to color the stamp before stamping it on white card stock.

This technique can be seen on video at Stamptv.

Today I have a card that I made for a challenge at:

The embossing folder is from: MPress ' Spring Fun' which has been distressed in 'Broken China'

and 'Scattered Straw'.

The die cut is from 'Inspired by Stamping'

and the sentiment is from GinaK Designs.

The little surfer is also a digi from digistamps4joy.

I have also used a Gelly Roll Sakura Pen to highlight

the chrome on the VW.  Hopefully you can see it.
