Fairy Box

Hello!

I have had such fun making this Fairy Box for my little grand daughter who is turning 9 on June 1st.

Lots of images to fussy cut and glue.  There is a lot of work but worth it in the long run!

Here I have a card I made for a special friend.  Her birthday was yesterday and I am sure

Had to keep it  flat for posting.

Fairy Fun

Hello!

Recently I bought Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime and shared it with my friend

as we both have grand daughters who love Fairies.

I saw a box made up on the G45 Blog by Solange Marques and fell in love with the design

so thought it would make a lovely birthday present for my 9 year old grandie.  There is quite a

lot of work to it but then I do have until June 1 to complete it.  In the meantime I have made

up a birthday card for her.

Well, I will let you into a little secret - It's our 40th Anniversary today!  My husband sent me

a beautiful card over the net with the most sentimental inscription - he really has a way

with words!

I made this card for my Dil's mother whose birthday it was yesterday (so now I can add it to my blog)!

Yes you guessed it - I have used G45 papers 'Time to Flourish'.  The papers are so beautiful and 

so much can be done with them.  I have another lovely card for a friend who has a birthday this

month but I will only show that later in the month.

I was very happy that she loved her card!

I joined a Free On line Tag class using Graphic 45 'A Time To Flourish' Papers

This stack gives 2 sheets of paper for each month of the year and is really beautiful but what

am I going to make with it?  I don't want to make tags only cards.  The lessons are easily

converted into cards which I have done with mine.   I have used the March papers, which 

 has a St Patrick's Day theme and as I am not Irish or have any Irish friends I used it to 

practise.  I have virtually case'd the design from the January lesson.

Birthday Card for Hubby 2015

A birthday card for my husband. He loves his sport so for his card I used the beautiful 

Graphic 45 'Good 'ol Sport paper'.  

Really not a lot of work do here except distressing the edges and layering.

I added a twine bow and a metal  brad.

A Simple Thank You

My mojo deserted me for some time but hopefully he is back! lol.

I think what did it is seeing another one of my cards published

in the Australian Simply Cards Magazine last month.  So I decided to go through

the magazines I have for inspiration as well as some sketches and this is

my creation.  Hope you like it.

For the flower:

Color Challenge at The Outlawz 20 January 2015

Hello!

Our challenge this week is hosted by Ina and her choice for your project

celebrating Australia Day!

The focal piece is from Stitchy Bear called 'Daisy'

The blue card I stamped and embossed a flower (which to me looks like fireworks)

from GinaK stamps set 'Hello Sunshine'

I cut a piece of red card stock and ran it through my crimper

My heart shaped flags I found in the $2 and are tooth picks - I have taken the toothpick off.

I used TomBow pens on the image.

The sketch is from 'Seize the Birthday'

I am really quite excited to join in the Mod Squad Challenge for this last week!

Here is my card

I created my background paper which is such fun to do!

Firstly I used water color paper and spritz it with Broken China and Chipped Sapphire

Distress re Inkers diluted in water.  When dry I used a stencil and texture paste.

I then used a script stamp from Kaiser Craft and the butterfly from GinaK 'Whimsical Spring'

stamp set using the second generation method.

I stamped the sentiment from 'Birthday Greetings' by GinaK stamps onto white card and

cut out using Spellbinders 'Opulent Ovals' die.

Added some ribbon, flowers & a pearl.

Our new color challenge for this week has been posted!

Our fun challenge is Tic Tac Toe

and here is my card.  The colors I chose are from top left to bottom right and as

I chose that diagonal I had to use flowers, punch/die & pearls.  I loved making this card

and used my favorite papers once more.

The papers are from Graphic 45 'Botanical Tea'.

The leaves were punched and for the roses I have used a Marianne Die.

The pearls are self adhesive ones.  The sentiment is from GKD.

IBSIC #89 Color - Just A Little Something

I am finished with Christmas cards so it is time to move on and make

something else.

Color Challenge at The Outlawz December 16, 2014

Hello!

Judith chose the Inspirational Photo for our challenge this week. A beautiful Christmas

table setting and the twist is to add Tartan fabric.

For my card this week I decorated a tag.

I have used a stencil and embossing paste on white card stock and when dry

sponged with distress ink.  The branches and deer's head are cut files for

the Cameo from Miss Kate Cuttables. These I have rubbed with Inca Gold Paste,

Antique Gold & Silver.

The Poinsettia is from Spellbinders which I cut in red card stock and rubbed it with some 

silver paste.  Made a bow with some twine.
