Card in a Box for Halloween

Hello!

I know Halloween is at the end of October but I had fun making this card/box today.

This is for my little grandson so I have not finished it as well as the 

Explosion Box I made for the granddaughter as he is 3 years younger.

My box & cut outs were all made on the Silhouette Cameo thanks to

Miss Kate Cuttables Freebies.  I have added googly eyes to the spiders & bat which make

them look more fun.  Not sure yet if I should mount it on another box or

make a box to fit on the back which can be filled with candy.  Oh boy, decisions, decisions.

from Australian Simply Cards Magazine.

I have sent them an email showing my card and hoping it will be published in the 

next few months!

Unfortunately there is only 1 sheet for each month in the pack and I had to use both March & May

to get the effect.

my card I decided to use all five as I felt the Bugaboo digi lent itself to all 5.

The twist for this challenge is to 'Add Stripes'.

IBSIC #85 Chevrons

This is my second card for the Inspired By Stamping Challenge and is

I have taken some patterned paper and stamped a few chevrons on it.  I have also used a

Chevron stencil and texture paste which has been colored with Tim Holtz Scattered Straw

Distress Ink.

Inspired by stamping stamp sets used:   Mini Chevrons, Garden Seed Packets, Background Basics II.

Distress Inks:  Scattered Straw, Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Explosion Box

Hello!

A while ago my friend & I bought Graphic 45 which was on sale.  We decided to share the 12 x 12 & 

6 x 6 paper pads of the Steampunk Spell.  I have been looking at it virtually

every day and wondering what to do with it!  I decided to see what inspiration I could get

from Pinterest and what a variety!

 Halloween is not big in Australia and not with me but my Daughter-in-law takes the kids to a couple

of neighbors to get a treat.  I decided to make an explosion box with a small box inside for

some candy from.  This is suitable for the granddaughter - will have to think of something

for the grandson!  I can't believe how much fun I had making this and cutting bits & pieces

with my Silhouette.  Thanks to Miss Kate Cuttables and Bird  for the SVG's.

The first being a sketch, the second - color and the last one - nature.

Ooh la la - Graphic 45

Hello!

I have fallen in love with Graphic 45 papers!

Here is a card I made using the Couture Collection.

It really looks so much nicer in real life but then so often cards do unless you are a professional photographer.

This is an easel card.

I am particularly pleased with the dress form which I cut with my Silhouette Cameo!

I have been having problems with the cuts especially on the white card I use - the black cuts perfectly though.  

I also removed some of the pieces from the top so as to make less cuts and this helped too.

Two 'Thank You' cards and one 'Birthday' card

I have recently started buying a magazine called 'Australian Simply Cards' again.

I have not bought card magazines for ages but have been very impressed with

their gifts and designs of late.

I have made 3 cards from the paper pack that was a gift in Issue 63.

I must add though that the colors of the glossy pictures in the magazine are quite 

different from the actual paper pack which are much duller.

Here are my cards.  The first 2 are sort of Case-ing, the 3rd my take.

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 1 2014.

Hello!

Well I am back and I hope for a long time.  Surgery on my shoulders went

very well and I am well on the way to recovery.  I must say though

that it was not major surgery, a small tear in the left one and just

a good clean out on the right, so no slings etc. Still can't lift anything heavy and

have to get hubby to help crank the handle on my cuttlebug lol.
